RCSA Innovation - Fall 1 - Afterschool RoboThink Robotics Program 2025

Join us at River City Science Academy Innovation every Friday and build some robots with us! Each week, students dive into exciting hands-on STEM adventures—building robotic models, exploring engineering challenges, and discovering the science behind how things work. Our step-by-step lessons make learning fun while reinforcing key STEM concepts in a creative, engaging way. Have your builders been enrolled in our programs? They will continue to build upon the skills they've learned with new projects to advance in RoboThink robotics curriculum. Are your builders new? Great! We will be helping them to embark in the world of robotics! For grades K-8.

Procedures

Students will be released from their classroom directly to RoboThink Robotics during dismissal by 2:45. RoboThink instructors and school staff will do their best to ensure all enrolled students report to Robotics class by 3pm. Please remind your students on Fridays they are to report to RoboThink Robotics instead of their regular dismissal routine. RCSA staff is provided with enrollment names and do their best to make sure all students report to Robotics during the scheduled time. RoboThink takes enrollment seriously and makes all efforts to ensure all enrolled students are present during their scheduled Robotics time, however, RoboThink is not responsible if students do not report to their scheduled RoboThink class. Robots will be broken down at the end of each day and clean up time starts 15 minutes before the end of class.

Pick Up Policy

Pick up is promptly at 4:00pm. Pick up will be in the regular pick up area. Only a parent, guardian or approved pick-up person may pick up your child. Please communicate with RoboThink for any changes in the pick-up routine. 

Parent Communication:

RoboThink uses ClassDojo to keep parents connected and informed! Throughout our classes, we share updates, photos, and highlights so you can see your child’s progress, projects, and achievements in real time. It’s a fun, easy way to be part of their STEM journey! Also, keep your eye on your email for newsletter or email communications from RoboThink.

ROBOTHINK PHOTO RELEASE AGREEMENT - You will be able to accept or deny to this release during registration

I acknowledge that while my child is attending this RoboThink program, he/she may be photographed by a still or video camera. I authorize RoboThink, LLC. to utilize my child’s photographic image without identification in its brochures and advertisements in any media, including RoboThink’s website. In giving my consent, I hereby release and hold harmless RoboThink and its agents from any and all responsibility or liability relating to the use of the photographs. I understand that neither my child nor I will receive compensation should any photograph authorized hereunder be used.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations received at least one week prior to the date of the first class will receive a full refund of the registration fee. Cancellations received after this date, but prior to the second class, will receive a refund, minus a $30 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellations after the second class of the program. There are no refunds or make-ups for missed classes. If a class is cancelled due to weather or other events, the class will be rescheduled.

RoboThink is a step-by-step international learning program. All levels accepted. All students will work on new projects each session. Our exciting STEM programs develop core STEM skills that students apply to school subjects and their future careers, while fostering a love for science and robotics.
